Modern Irish dance is a great way to get fit and have fun with classes available in individual and team dancing for both boys and girls of all ages and abilities.
At Pacific Irish Dance, we primarily offer training in Irish dancing as a competitive sport and have dancers competing at a state, national and international level on a regular basis. Our focus in training is on fitness, technique, strength and instilling self directed competitive determination and hard work into all of our students.
LIFE AT PACIFIC
Irish dancing is much more than it appears… As the name suggests, Irish dance originates from Ireland and the art form still retains many of its defining characteristics from its traditional past. But like many traditions, the dance style has evolved with the rise of performance Irish dance (Riverdance, Lord of Dance) and the rapid growth and development of the competitive sport. Irish dance owes much to its traditional origins but it’s not just for the Irish anymore!
At Pacific Irish Dance, we strive to create a supportive, community culture that celebrates the diverse lives that we all lead and the passion for Irish dance that we all share.

Classes are always a buzz of activity and many a lifelong friendship is formed between dancers who share a similar training ethos and passion for the dance style. No matter an individual dancers goals or aspirations, the fun, friendship and support they experience from their training journey is at the heart of the culture at Pacific Irish Dance.

Over the course of every dancer's training journey, they get to experience a lifetime of adventures, from travel for competition to unique performance opportunities, and they get to share all of these with their friends doing something they love.

Outside of class, competition and performance, the community knows how to have fun and always takes time out to celebrate the achievements and growth of the whole school together.
